This is the last time I saw my Dad- 7 years ago. Sadly, it will probably be the last. When Father’s day comes, I can’t help but to think about him. I typically don’t mention anything to anyone… or spill how I feel. When Father’s day comes, I just focus on my other half, the father of my children. Sometimes I wish my Dad was still around, and I had the chance to do all of the things I used to do for him as a child on Father’s day… Like make him little cards, and other crafty things kids make for their Dads. As some of you know- my Dad is a homeless drug addict… and has been for a little over 10 years now. The day my Dad started doing hard drugs was the day I lost him. I just miss my Dad… =/ But I can’t say I miss who he is today or who he became- because I don’t. I just miss his old laugh, his silliness, his crazy antics, and the person he is deep inside… but he has lost all of that.. and he is pretty much dead to me. And in the end- it’s not my fault, it’s his.

Happy Father’s Day to the men out there that take care of theirs and would never turn their back on their children no matter the circumstances.
